Information for Year 11s self-isolating:

Work will be available for all Year 11 students on Classcharts from Monday. If your child has not got their log on details they should email kris.burge@salford.gov.uk or gary.talbot@salford.gov.uk.

If your child does not have access to ICT please also let Mrs Burge and Mr Talbot know.

Start & End of Day Arrangements for Pupils

  • Y7: Arrival at 8:45 via the main school entrance. Students will queue outside the side entrance to the building and be escorted to their form rooms. The School day for Y7 will end at 14:40. Students to exit through the main school entrance gates.
  • Y8: Arrival at 8:50 via the Chatsworth Road entrance. Entry to the building via the front fire door. Students will be escorted to their form rooms. The School Day for Y8 will end at 14:45. Students to exit through Chatsworth Road gates.
  • Y9: Arrival at 8:50 via the Chatsworth Road entrance. Entry to the building via the front fire door. Students will be escorted to their form rooms. The School Day for Y9 will end at 14:45. Students to exit through Chatsworth Road gates.
  • Y10: Arrival at 8:55 via the main school drive. Entry to the building will be through the rear entrance, and students will be escorted to their form rooms. The School day for Y10 will end at 14:50. Students to exit through main school drive.
  • Y11: Arrival at 8:55 via the main school drive. Entry to the building will be rear entrance and students will be escorted to their form rooms. The School day for Y11 will end at 14:50. Students to exit through main school drive.

Virtual Apprenticeship Week 12-21st August - A series of virtual events for young people (and their parents) regarding all things about apprenticeships.   There will be lots of providers explaining about different kind of Apprenticeships, case studies, Q&A's etc.  I believe there will also be some events taking place later in the day/early evening aimed at Parents/Carers - sign up here.

Google Classrooms

How to join a Google Classroom

Your child should have received an email with an invitation to join their teachers Google Classroom. From there they would click on the plus sign “Join Class”.

Step by step guide:

  • Open Google Chrome
  • Search RMunify.com
  • Log in using EPHS email – using the format first initial.surname@EPHS.org.uk
  • Select the Google Classroom tile and log in as a student
  • Join the classes by clicking on the + sign in the top right hand corner and using the class codes above


For those who only have the internet on your phone, you may want to download the Google Classroom App (it’s free) so that your child can view the work that classroom teachers will be posting.

In addition, it would be helpful to download Google Docs and Google Sides.

Year 11 Transition Information & Exam grading update

Update for Year 11s:  Colleges and Post-16 Providers are still working on providing help and support for their prospective students during this time.  Please check the information available here for support and guidance on your child’s next steps after school. Your child’s form tutor will be able to pass on any requests for additional support so please mention this in your weekly welfare call if you need any help.

 Year 10 & 11 Virtual Open Days- find out more information by clicking here

Salford colleges are holding virtual new students days for Year 11’s (college have sent this out to Year 11’s) and also a Virtual taster session for Y10’s. The details of both are on the attached here. The students would need to register for the events, but you can ignore the closing date for these as I’ve the college are keeping the online registration open.

It's time to Keep Doing Good, sign up for NCS' 'One Million Hours of Doing Good'.  Post lockdown and Manchester is going to need a little help to get back on its feet.  This is a free opportunity and it does not matter if you signed up to NCS this Summer or not.  Get involved and we will support you to make a difference about the issues that matter to you!
