STUDENT WELL-BEING AND ONLINE LEARNING

In response to some feedback from pupils, parents, carers and teaching staff, we will begin to implement some screen free time during lessons as from Monday, 1st February, as well as having a focus on a range of activities to promote well-being.  Students will still need to log on to their Teams lessons for the teacher to be able to register the students and give the instructions for the work.  Around 1 in 6 lessons per subject will be screen free.

This week's PSHE lessons have all focused on acts of kindness, please share our child's pledges and acts of kindness with us.

We all know sitting at a screen all day is not much fun, so we would encourage all our students to take a break during their lunch or at the end of the day and get some fresh air and exercise.

New Kooth campaign #Don't do it alone

There are somethings in life you might want to keep to yourself.  Like singing embarrassing song lyrics or talking with your cat or ..... you get the picture!  But when it comes to mental health problems, you should never deal with it alone.

Kooth have created video of 5 influencers to support the message and to remind teenagers that they are not alone when dealing with their mental health.  There is always someone to talk to
