  • Congratulations 'Class of 2023'

    24 Aug 2023

For GCSE results day 2023, and at Buile Hill AcademyEllesmere Park High School, and Moorside High School, communities are coming together to celebrate students’ achievements.

The results received today are a testament to the hard work and commitment Salford students have shown during their time at secondary school, and they will go on to help them shape their future choices, whether that’s further study, an apprenticeship or training in the workplace.

This year saw a normal exam season after the turbulent years of the pandemic, and challenges remain in schools across the country. In recognition of this, the exams regulator Ofqual asked exam boards to consider the impact the pandemic continues to have on students.

Staff at the schools, all part of Consilium Academies, have gone over and above to support their Year 11 students, preparing them academically as well as emotionally to sit their exams. This includes targeted intervention, workshops during holidays and “last drop” sessions for students, as well as sessions for parents to ensure they understood the importance of working in partnership with students and parents.

  • Our Parents

"I have always felt that my son’s head of year is willing to make time for me to meet or discuss any concerns. Communication from my son’s head of year is very efficient and has helped me to feel settled with transition from primary, and that I know who I can approach with any queries, information sharing or problems. So, Thank you Mrs Kavanagh!".

    Simone Lees, November 2022

"The school and all the staff are lovely very supportive in my son's learning and extra educational needs. I would and have already recommended this school to many other parents".

    Beth Farrell, November 2022

"This is not my first experience with Ellesmere Park high school, my two daughters graduated from it. Anything I needed or will need to raise with school I always find good listeners. This includes sensitive subjects. It starts from the admin people at the reception to the head teacher, I never felt let down by the school. As a parent I feel my children are well supported and looked after at the school. Academically, the school goes up and down to make sure all its pupils thrive and achieve their goals and do things that they will enjoy doing when they are older. Honestly, the support that specifically year 11 received and still receiving this year is remarkable. I just want to say a big thank you for everyone at Ellesmere Park High School, you are doing a great job".
