At Ellesmere Park High School, the curriculum is designed to inspire our pupils, allowing them to develop their communication skills, resilience and become creative, critical thinkers.
Our aim is to foster a love of lifelong learning.
Our aim is also to ensure that everything we do has a focus on helping the pupils to succeed to their potential: academically, socially and emotionally. The curriculum will always have sufficient depth and coverage to ensure that the pupils progress over five years.
Our curriculum is matched to the abilities, interests and aspirations of our students. Lessons will be well- sequenced and the ability to learn is underpinned by teachers building on prior knowledge and allowing the pupils to fully integrate new knowledge.
Our curriculum will focus on pupil development by providing exciting and challenging learning and extra-curricular opportunities and experiences.
The curriculum is also designed to build links between different subjects and to support and develop literacy and numeracy skills. It will give all learners, particularly the most disadvantaged and those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) or high needs, the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in life.
Our curriculum will focus on pupil development by providing exciting and challenging learning and extra-curricular opportunities and experiences. We will develop a breadth of cultural knowledge and understanding, ensuring that our pupils become responsible and respectful, making a positive contribution to society.
At Ellesmere Park, we will create an inclusive and inspiring environment, where all pupils feel supported and are empowered to succeed. We will also fully embrace the vison, values and aims of the Academy Trust.
